We live in a modern, stressful world and we are always busy running from one place to another. Wake up an hour earlier – one hour will not make a huge difference, but when you wake up you will have one whole hour for yourself to take care of your obligations. This will allow you to use that time just for yourself. Even if it means sitting on the sofa and drinking hot coffee, it is your time and you are allowed to relax. This will give you an opportunity to think about the day and make a plan about it.
Set boundaries when it comes to work – there are lots of employers who ask their employees to stay for one more hour or half an hour and then being scared not to lose their jobs, employees say yes. Next time, make sure you say no. Say no, close the door and leave the building. Use that time you have to finish some tasks, like shopping or cleaning your home.
Use your lunch breaks outside – this means that you need to find someone to go to lunch outside of your work place. Eating in front of the computer is never a good idea. Go out and enjoy your lunch.
Find a hobby – when was the last time you did something fun, like riding a bike or hiking? Well, it doesn’t matter but you need to find time to go out and do something that makes you happy. If you don’t know what that is, find it explore and try different things. You can go to the gym exercise, read or draw. But do not use that free time to write posts on social media.
Have a deal with yourself – if you agree to do something and no matter what happens you need to go there and do it. It is easy to make plans, what is hard is to get out of your home and do something fun, something that will make you want to repeat it again. A 15-minute walk in the park sounds great and it will be even greater if you have a dog to walk it. While walking, look around and enjoy the trees, the grass… the point is to get out of the computer screen and do something nice.
